Self Awareness

I let myself feel hurt/ uncomfortable longer than what I need to before changing. Examples run from something as simple as sitting on my leg for too long and it falls asleep- I knew well long before it fell asleep that I needed to change positions. The same goes for being present in an "argument" or "fight" even after you know that there is no chance of "reason" at this point... I heard someone say this quote once and I agree completely: "If a fight lasts longer than 5 minutes then you're both wrong at that point". 

Walk away from and don't give your energy to discomfort for any longer than you need to. It's important to be able to recognize dis-ease because you are then able to shift, change, and learn from it... but you don't need to force yourself through it and you eventually won't even have to endure it unconsciously for any long amount of time once you become self aware enough. 

If you have to use the washroom, get up and go right away... the text message can wait, the Facebook scrolling can wait, you can wait. Take care of yourself first. If you find that you're getting too full after eating, then eat 5 smaller portions throughout the day instead of 3 large portions. Your body is your most important and truest healer of this life- let it guide you.

Trust in self.
